Synopsis：

Spring of the first year of high school. Yukari Sugino (Runa Nakashima) was a "typical girl" who didn't have anything to be passionate about, just getting through her daily life. She felt no excitement for the start of her new life, but then appeared Mimi Tokuda (Miyu Oshima)—a classmate who loves every single weed and is fascinated by their vitality—commonly known as "Dokudami-chan." A bit eccentric but possessing a surprisingly straight and pure heart, Dokudami-chan's wish is the revival of the "Weed Research Club," or "Zakken." Though bewildered by Dokudami-chan's intensity, Yukari eventually begins working with her toward the revival of Zakken. Discoveries hidden in everyday life and long-forgotten sensibilities are quietly reawakened. In a chaotic era, the small plants at our feet that we tend to overlook might be teaching us the modest strength needed for people to move forward, as if gently scooping up a weary heart. This film, which reminds even adults of the sparkle of youth, quietly but surely lets us feel the "texture of living" that people often forget. This is a gentle and heart-warming story of youth and rebirth found by two people who met by chance.
