Synopsis：

Thirty years ago, the world nearly collapsed following the sudden emergence of an unknown "invasive species." Humanity and these alien creatures, known as "Invasives," have fought relentlessly over territory. Though human safety is currently maintained at a fragile equilibrium, the world remains on the brink of total destruction at any moment. Living in constant dread of death and ruin, people carry on with their daily lives, choosing to look away from the omnipresent dangers and disasters. Amidst this precarious world, the United Nations Dangerous Species Research Agency—"EXCEEDS"—has begun its operations to thwart the threats and catastrophes brought by the Invasives. The story begins in "Mizuho," an island nation in the Far East. Shiina Kuze is a young girl living on a remote island, working as a hunter to exterminate the Invasives. Desiring nothing more than a quiet life with her sister, Setsuna—her only remaining family—what fate awaits Shiina when disaster strikes?
